First Steps in Scuba Diving

After reading reviews of Sunset House and hearing good things about it from friends who had been to Grand Cayman, I was very keen on staying at this famous oceanfront hideaway. So, when we planned our next vacation in the Caribbean, we booked our room at Sunset House and signed up for the e-learning program to learn scuba diving.

After completing the required number of lessons online, we were ready to start our first practical session in scuba diving. Our visit to Grand Cayman and to this friendly oceanfront hideaway was memorable for more than one reason. We loved the scuba diving experience, sure. But there is more to Sunset House than just diving. The staff at this renowned oceanfront hideaway is extremely friendly and once they found out that we were there to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary, they went that extra mile to make it a special holiday for us. We loved the sumptuous breakfast and the leisurely drinks at the beautiful beachfront bar in the evenings. Just sitting at the bar and chatting with other guests, we got a lot of info. The conversations revolved not only around the best diving and snorkeling sites but also about shopping, places to see, and things to do in the Cayman Islands. We took the trip to visit Stingray City and the Botanic Gardens after listening tour fellow guests at Sunset House talk about they fun they had.

Diving in the Sunset Reef, close to this oceanfront hideaway, and swimming around the bronze mermaid “Amphitrite” is was an unforgettable experience. Experienced divers told us that the diving equipment that we rent here is of a very high quality and the boats are certainly the best, customized for diving trips.
